Did you know that the oil from your fingers gets on the keys of your laptop and when you close your laptop, the oil is then transferred onto the computer screen? Most laptops come with some kind of separator when they are new, but no one is going to keep up with that thing for the life of their computer. A better option would be laptop covers. There are several different kinds of laptop covers available on the market today that offer premium protection for the screen of your laptop computer.

The screen of your laptop is going to be put through conditions that the screen of your desktop computer will never have to face, such as opening and closing. Therefore, you need some way to protect your screen so you are not stuck trying to work around a big scratch or something worse on your laptop screen.

There are a several different types of covers, be sure to select a cover that will protect your laptop screen. A standard cover protects the top, track pad and wrist rest. A full body cover protects both the top and the sides as well, the wrist rests, the rack pads and the bottom, but does not cover the screen. A bottom cover only covers the bottom of your laptop. A wrist rest and topside cover protects the outside of the top half, wrist rest, track pad as well as the click button, but offers no protection to the laptop screen.

If you choose to go with a laptop cover that does not offer screen protection, you can purchase protective laptop film that can be custom fit to your laptop screen. Laptop covers are a good idea whether you want to show off your unique character, or are just looking to extend the life of your computer
